We are Cory and Angela Hurtado and we own and operate Hurtado Farms located in Snyder,Texas. We are originally from Mineral Wells,Texas and moved to West Texas to finish raising our last two sons.We have six boys and have several grandchildren.After our last two boys graduated Highschool in 2021, we soon realized how much more time we had on our hands, so we decided to start raising Nigerian goats, and realized quickly how beneficial our goat's milk is in homemade products.We decided to use the milk to make products we generally used. We started making our own soap in May 2022, and have continued to add more and more products that we love using as well as our family.We wanted a clean, close to natural, chemical free product for not only our personal use, but for our children and grandchildren as well. And this has been an amazing learning adventure for us!
Why Goat Milk?
We decided to use Nigerian goat milk because of the fatty acids it contains. Fatty acids help repair the skins barrier, and the probiotics encourage the growth of normal skin flora.Goat milk also contains Vitamin A which is a gentle exfoliate. Because Nigerian Goat milk contains such high levels of butterfat, the milk is extremely rich and creamy.We find it to be highly moisturizing. Goat milk also has a high PH level similar to humans, so its absorbed in the skin with less irritation. Our goat milk products have taken our personal skin care to a new level, we don't suffer from dry skin anymore and we don't waste massive amounts of money buying store bought products that just didn't do what we needed them to do.
